This course strengthens reading and continues to build mastery in oral reading, reading comprehension, and literary analysis.  Students will be able to read, analyze, and appreciate varied creative literary forms from different world cultures and American subcultures. Students will read novels, short stories, and poetry from a variety of world view points.  Through these view points we enrich World History and foreign languages.

Students will be able to conjugate regular and irregular verbs and be able to recognize reflexive and demonstrative pronouns.

Writing:

Students engage in “The Step Up To Writing” process and become more effective communicators in both written and oral expression.  They will be able to write quality essays covering the four writing domains; analytical, informative, descriptive, and narrative.
