Hi there! My name is Heather Parton. I was born and raised in Orange County. For college I traveled over 2,000 miles away to Saint Mary's College located in Notre Dame, Indiana. In May of 2007, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
When I started teaching kindergarten at St. Justin Martyr I quickly realized that I had definitely chosen the right career. I guess I can say that learned how to teach while in college, but it wasn't until I met my first class of students that I realized how passionate about teaching I really am. I truly love coming to work each day because in kindergarten there is never a dull moment.
In my free time I love to knit and crochet while watching "Friends" or "I Love Lucy". I also enjoy baking yummy treats in my kitchen. And of course, since I'm a Notre Dame fan, there's always a football game to be seen at my house on Saturdays in the Fall. But above all, my favorite thing to do is to go cruising in my bright yellow Camaro on a bright and sunny day.
